Privacy Policy
The one-sentence version: your game progress stays on your device (with an optional backup to your own Game Center / Play Games account) — we run no server, require no Recall Parade account, and cannot see how you play. The only third party in the app is Google's ad service, it shows ads only when you choose to watch one, and it is non-personalized by default.
1. Scope
This policy covers the Recall Parade mobile app (iOS and Android) and the Recall Parade website (this informational site). Recall Parade is published under the Thimp umbrella; the contact for both is the same.
2. What Recall Parade is
Recall Parade is a casual brain-training game built on the operation-span working-memory task. It is designed for a general audience aged 13 and up. It is not directed at children, and it is not a medical or diagnostic tool.
3. What we collect
3.1 Game data — stays on your device
Your progress — scores, XP, unlocked characters, streaks, energy, settings — is stored in the app's local database on your device. There is no Recall Parade account and no developer server: we do not receive gameplay data, we hold no copy, and we cannot read it. It is included in any device backup you choose to run, controlled by your own device settings.
Optionally, the app can back progress up to your platform's own game-save service — Apple Game Center on iOS, Google Play Games on Android — so a reinstall can restore it. That backup is tied to your Apple/Google account, stored and processed by Apple or Google under their own privacy policies, and never passes through us. If you don't sign in to Game Center / Play Games, progress simply stays local.
3.2 What we do not collect
We do not collect your name, email, location, contacts, or photos. The app contains no analytics SDK and no trackers of our own, and it never asks for permission to track you across apps (no App Tracking Transparency prompt is needed, because we don't track).
3.3 Advertising (the one third party)
The app shows rewarded ads only — an ad plays only when you explicitly choose to watch one in exchange for an in-game reward (refilling energy). There are no banner or surprise ads. Ads are served by Google AdMob (Google Mobile Ads SDK). To serve an ad, Google receives standard request data from your device, such as IP address, device identifiers, and coarse ad-quality signals, handled under the Google Privacy Policy.
- Non-personalized by default. We request non-personalized ads and tag all requests as not child-directed with a G content rating cap.
- Consent first (EEA/UK). Where required, a consent dialog (Google's certified UMP consent flow) is shown before the ad system initializes. If consent cannot be gathered, the app simply runs without ads for that session.
- Optional. You can always decline to watch ads; energy also refills on its own over time.
3.4 Purchases
The app offers one in-app purchase (an energy refill), processed entirely by Apple's App Store or Google Play billing. We never see your payment details — the store passes us only a confirmation that the purchase completed. Refunds follow the store's own policy (see the Terms).
4. Website
This website is a static page with no cookies, no analytics scripts, and no forms. If you email us, we receive the address and content you choose to send, and use them only to reply. The site is served by Cloudflare Pages, which processes request data (such as IP addresses) to deliver and secure the site, per the Cloudflare Privacy Policy.
5. How we use information
Because your game data never reaches us, we do not use it at all. Email you send us is used only to respond. We do not sell data, build profiles, or send marketing you didn't ask for.
6. Legal bases (EU/EEA/UK)
- Game data: we are not a controller of in-app data because we never receive it; it stays under your control.
- Advertising: processed on the basis of your consent, gathered through the in-app consent dialog where required; you can decline.
- Email: processed on the basis of your consent and our legitimate interest in replying to you.
7. Children
Recall Parade is intended for users aged 13 and over and is not directed at children. Ad requests are explicitly tagged as not child-directed, content rating capped at G, and non-personalized. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13; since we collect no personal data in the app, there is none to collect.
8. Security
Game data is stored in the app's sandboxed local storage, protected by your device's own security. No network calls carry your gameplay data. No method of storage is perfectly secure — you are responsible for your device's security.
9. Data retention and deletion
Deleting local data is immediate and complete: uninstall the app (or clear its data in system settings) and everything on the device is gone. We have no server copy to retain. If you used the optional Game Center / Play Games backup, that copy lives in your own Apple/Google account and is managed through their account controls, not by us. For anything Google processed to serve ads, Google's own retention rules apply — see Google's ad settings.
To delete data associated with Recall Parade:
- Local game data: uninstall the app, or clear its data in system settings. Deletion is immediate and complete; we hold no server copy.
- Cloud backup (optional Play Games / Game Center save): stored in your own Google/Apple account. Remove it via your platform's account controls (Android: Settings → Google → Play Games → delete Play Games data for Recall Parade; iOS: Settings → Apple ID → iCloud / Game Center).
- Advertising data: managed by Google — reset or delete your advertising ID in Android Settings → Privacy → Ads, or visit Google's ad settings.
- Anything else: email hello@thimp.app; we respond within 30 days. We retain no data after deletion.
10. Your rights
Depending on where you live (GDPR in the EU/EEA/UK, CCPA/CPRA in California, UU PDP 27/2022 in Indonesia, and others), you may have rights to access, correct, delete, port, or restrict your personal data. For game data you exercise these directly and instantly on your own device. For anything else, contact us and we will respond within the period your local law requires.
11. Changes
If this policy changes materially, we will update the date at the top and, where the change affects in-app processing, surface it in the app. Continued use after a change means you accept the updated policy.
12. Contact
Recall Parade is operated by an individual developer under the Thimp umbrella. Contact: hello@thimp.app.
